The Ancient Japanese were a great and and varied civilization. They relied greatly on structure and order, and many of their rituals remain relevant to this day. Their religion had many myths and legends, which are in fact quite similar to the many myths and legends of the different religions of the world. Later in Japanese history, around 582 AD, the Chinese invaded and took over Japan. and had quite a bit of influence on the Japanese culture. Thanks to the formidable force that was the Samurai army of Japan, the Japanese managed to push back the Chinese, and also managed to be influential on the rest of the Eastern World. I will be focusing on pre-chinese Japan and Chinese-Japan, and I will be highlighting the importance of Religion and Social structure on the lives of the ancient Japanese.
